Your Self Image is how you perceive who you are... your personality, your body, your unique characteristics, etc. It's important to have a positive self image because it helps you to realize your full potential. It's our natural state to enjoy who we are, but with our conditionings or different expectations from society, sometimes it's hard to create that positive self image once it's been cut down. Once you believe in yourself and your abilities, you'll realize that there is nothing holding you back from living the life of your dreams. You are capable of unimaginable things. I believe in you! You can too!
Take a moment and think about who you are. What is your personality like? Do you enjoy being you? What does the very best version of you look like? What are their habits or practices that make them the best version of you? How much do you want to become that person? What is it that you can start doing today to step into their shoes and live life to the fullest?
3 Ways To Better Your Self Image
- Be Nice: Be kind to yourself. Self-deprecation is not cute. I say that because I've been there and even though I thought calling myself stupid was funny at one point, later on, I realized how damaging that was to my subconscious mind. I eventually started believing all of the negative things I was joking about. It held me back from evolving into the better version of myself. There's no better time than the present to start being nice to yourself first and foremost. If you're not used to being nice to yourself, you can retrain your brain by listening to and repeating affirmations like these (Link Below) to strengthen your foundation of self worth.
- Happily Make Mistakes: A lot of time we get down on ourselves because we "fail" or do something the "wrong way." Failing Forward is a thing. You can make mistakes and keep moving towards your ideal outcome. Learn from the mistakes and sometimes they even end up being "happy mistakes" that end up better than what you originally planned. Be clear on what you're working towards and try to let go of some of the stiffer expectations so you can leave a little room for magic.
