Forgiveness doesn't mean that you're condoning or taking away accountability for what happened, it means that you're ready to move on and fully let go of negative emotions that are holding you back. When you're able to find forgiveness, you're able to let go of those heavy feelings of anger and resentment. You know the old saying "Resentment always hurts you more than it does the person you resent. While your offender has probably forgotten the offense and gone on with life, you continue to stew in your pain, perpetuating the past." It's true, sure maybe they might feel guilty, but chances are they don't. Now you're left harboring negative feelings that if you don't deal with and heal on your own, they have the potential to show up as physical manifestations in your body.

If you notice you're having physical issues and not sure where they're coming from, then this can help you to notice any old emotions that are no longer serving your highest good. That way you can find out what you can do to release them and take back your vitality. You have all that you need to heal your mind and body. Sometimes you just need a little direction.
