De-Stimulating your mind and body is key when you're wanting to overcome anxiety and stress. It can help you regain the energy you need to focus and stay concentrated on the things that matter. It's really good to turn off any and all screens and spend time with yourself on a regular basis. Tune in with your inner thoughts and give yourself the space you need to re-boot your energy.

Healthy Ways To De-Stim:

1. Find Space & Breathe - Find somewhere without any physical or mental stimulations and bring your awareness to your breath. Bringing more oxygen into your system can help you to de-stress and relax your nervous system, creating a welcome sense of calm. 

2. Take A Rest - When we're chronically overstimulated, our bodies find it hard to calm the parasympathetic nervous system, keeping us stuck in the "on position" which can lead to feelings of anxiety, anger, stress, panic and restlessness. Finding ways to give yourself a time out from all the stresses of the day to day and fully relax. I recommend finding a weighted blanket to help ease tension in the body which will help tell your mind that it's okay to let go and relax. 

3. Use these affirmations as a daily pep talk to help get you through tough times and begin to calm the mind. When you're focusing your mind on positive and calming things, it helps to lessen feelings of overwhelm within the mind and body.
