If you don't have any sort of routine as of right now, this is a great space to start! Adding affirmations to you day is one of the most powerful tools when it comes to re-wiring old mindsets and creating new habits. They can help to inspire you and keep you motivated throughout the day. At one point I listened to affirmations every single time I ate a meal. It was like nourishing my mind, body and spirit all at the same time! Now that I'm thinking about it, I may start that habit back up, it was a good one!
Best times to listen to affirmations:
1. Morning: In today's society, the first thing we usually do is reach for our phone in the morning... So instead of jumping on social media, why not take a few minutes and listen to some affirmations before getting out of bed. It's the perfect time because when your body is resting, your mind is in a great state to receive the positive statements.
2. While Eating: Feeding your mind is just as important as feeding your body. As stated above, when you listen to affirmations while you eat, you are nourishing your body, mind and spirit all at once.
3. Bedtime: During bedtime our minds enter the theta state. This state of mind is typically a positive state of mind. When the brain enters a theta state, it is able to remove judgment from any thoughts and is the perfect state to learn and adapt to new ways of thinking.
