At the beginning of Va’eschanan (Devarim 3:23) Moshe asks Hashem to go into Eretz Yisrael. Rashi deduces from the extra word “laimor” that he also “demanded” to know how Hashem would answer his request. Rashi cites 2 or 3 other examples of such requests by Moshe.
