I believed that to be in community you had to sacrifice your expression. To be one of them, I must not show the contrasting expressions of me. I pretended to believe, speak, act, dress and condemn just like them. I conformed myself so much that I forgot who I AM. There is another way to allow space for authentic expression of all humans in every community.
