Description

Glen and Hudson sit down with Rick Nolan, President of Oklahoma Hunters and Anglers, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the hunters and anglers of Oklahoma. Rick grew up in east Texas chasing all kinds of wildlife including being very active on the bass fishing tournament circuit. Rick ended up following a job to Oklahoma and has been here ever since. Rick is passionate about preserving and expanding hunters and fishers in Oklahoma in the name of conservation. Why fish bass tournaments? What is the best thing about deer hunting? Why do we need to focus on hunters and anglers for conservation? All of this plus maybe a little scary story at the end who knows?

Visit oklahomahuntersandanglers.org for more information on the organization and events.

Their annual deer conference is taking place August 16, 2025 at the Metro Tech Springlake Campus. Visit their website to sign up!

This episode is sponsored by TEG Farms. One of our good friends and former podcast guests Noah Edwards is selling beef from their farm in SW Oklahoma. Their cows are grass-fed on a beautiful farm without herbicides or pesticides on their pastures. Then they are grain finished on a pasture with free choice of grain. This gives them an incredible taste and wonderful marbling without the traditional feedlot atmosphere. The beef is butchered in a USDA inspected facility and it is unbelievably good.  Visit their website TEGfarms.com Text Noah at (405) 200-5127 for pricing and availability.
