Don't worry folks, it's not all negativity on this week's episode of Homespun Yak. We manage to slide in thin slices of optimism when discussing what's been on the forefront of the everyone's mind - the great toilet paper crisis of 2020. In all seriousness though, we are all sailing through uncharted waters and we can't exactly predict what lies ahead over the horizon. In spite of this, we discuss some of the statistics we do know currently regarding at risk age groups, debunk conspiracy theorists, and discuss how humans have dealt with pandemics throughout history. We talk about how the pandemic is directly impacting our lives and those around us. For example, all small businesses (like your favorite restaurants) are severely suffering during this time by not being able to remain open and fully staffed. While nobody would turn away $1000 a month, we need to encourage our local, state and federal government representatives to work in tandem with local businesses to create a stimulus package that would ensure they can return to normalcy once this crisis subsides. Take one day at a time, be nice to strangers and cough/sneeze into your elbow, damnit!
