Nearly 10 years ago, Yocheved Sidof and several other families had a dream to create child-directed education in the heart of Crown Heights. At the time, many laughed and said it could never happen.
Instead, Yocheved did the impossible. She built the school into a mainstream school in Crown Heights that was recognized all over the world as a pioneer in Jewish education.
The vision to create a school comes with the understanding that it may fail. But is failure after such extraordinary success a failure? And if it is, where do we go from here?
