Mary and Martha, close friends of Jesus, take 2 different approaches to His Presence. One serving on His behalf, the other listening to His teaching. Too often, we set this story at one sister versus the other, a tale of right versus wrong. But what if they are both doing good things and one is to be prioritized over the other. Our worship should inform our work, not the other way around.
