Description

Well, we are kicking off Season 2 with a tough one! And our first Patreon Pick! (Thanks for the nightmares, Gina!)

In this episode, we're diving into the intriguing and controversial case of the West Memphis Three, a legal drama that unfolded over two decades in Arkansas.

In 1993, three eight-year-old boys were found murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas. The horrific nature of the crime shocked the community, and the pressure to find the perpetrators was immense.

Enter Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley, three teenagers who were soon arrested and charged with the murders. Known for their interest in heavy metal music and goth culture, they were vulnerable outsiders, and therefore, easy targets.

Despite the lack of physical evidence linking them to the crime, all three were convicted. They were only released in 2011.

Join us as we explore this captivating story, looking into the legal twists and turns, the cultural context, and the lives of those involved. It's an episode you won't want to miss!
