The Notebook tells the story of Noah (Ryan Gosling) and Allie (Rachel McAdams) and how they fell in love. The movie is framed by scenes of a much older Noah (James Garner) and Allie (Gena Rowlands) as he reads to her from her old notebook in a nursing home, trying to help her remember the past. Allie is suffering from dementia, so this proves difficult—but a miracle intervenes.
This film has a 54% rating with critics on Rotten Tomatoes and an 85% rating with audiences.
