S3 E13 Chopping Wood - Task list, Reminders, Calendar Notifications, Check list. If your someone in the business world or even just a busy parent, or entrepreneur. I'm willing to bet you have something that notifies you of of upcoming things to do. I myself am guilty of to often relying on Facebook to remind me about that old distant cousin from childhood's birthday.
How many apps or notifications do your receive daily? According to Businessofapps.com. The average US smartphone user receives 46 app push notifications per day and One weekly push notification per week can lead to 10% of users disabling notifications, and 6% to disable the apps. So much for that to do list.
Its often easy to get overwhelmed at the sheer volume of daily things to do. Let alone incorporating time for your dreams or hobbies. To do list or checklist are crucial when it comes to structuring your day or life for that matter. I first heard the term " Chopping Wood" from an Operations Manager while climbing the corporate ladder. He would always say that when I asked him, " How's it going?". As I take on more responsibilities, and my businesses grow that term has become a positive boost for me mentally on days when I look at my lofty To- do list mostly unfinished.
What can you get done? What have you done? What did you check off that was needed, but not even on your mind or list at the time. Moral( and actual) Victories can often provide that boost or motivation needed to get up and try again, or to continue pressing forward. On This episode we will discuss how to re-think your plans, and take on an approach of chopping task and goals down by structuring more effective and efficient To do list .πͺπΎπ§ πͺπΎ
