S3 E17 Squad Goals - When it comes to being a leader nothing is as important as knowing the people you lead on a deep level. Building a relationship with your team isn't about getting them to do certain tasks, as finding people to complete a task is very easy to do. The key is getting them to stick around and taking it further actually enjoying what they do which leads to higher production.
What most leaders fail to grasp is that there is no way no fake getting to know someone. The only true way to get 110% out of people is by showing through your everyday actions and words you are giving them that same 110%. This is done by removing yourself as the main focus and seeking to know others in the same way you know yourself.
Chris Paul a NBA PG currently in the Western Conference Finals has lately been referred to as one of the greatest leaders of all time. Chris has shown that regardless of the team and situation he can quickly ( Same year Quickly) turn a franchise and its culture in to something greater than it was prior to his arrival. His position (on the court as well) requires he know his teammates on a deep level in order to be successful. Knowing their body language, tendencies, mannerisms and more allows him to become an efficient and elite floor general regardless of whos around him. This is due to his Squad Goals and knowing what it takes to get the best out of those around him.
