-----S3 E4 -"Atlas(t)"--- What most people desire is some form of power, leadership, or responsibility. Once achieved (If achieved) and your in that position it's easy to consciously or sub consciously give yourself to much credit, and began to take on more than your capable of. If your not careful you will begin to become power and success hungry. Constantly seeking ways to increase your power, and the spoils that come with it. The Greek story of Atlas in a lot of way mimics this situation, and should be used as a warning rather then a required grade school reading. Atlas who was a Titan and a protagonist to Hercules. Was also known as having "Deadly -Wisdom" as well as being called the father of astrology. Seems like a smart strong guy who sounds more than capable right? Atlas eventually lead the Titians in a battle against the GODS or Mt. Olympus to attempt a coup. or takeover. Ultimately he failed and as punishment was forced to hold up the heavens(World) forever. It's easy to accomplish something great and easily forget the mindset and things that got us there. The story of Atlas ends with a loss to the GODS, but when we look at it deeper he ultimately lost to himself. This is often the case with us we lose against ourselves. Trusting in our own self perception instead of the things that got us here. Defeat is necessary in these cases, because it slows us down enough to think about our current situation. For me getting the Vaccine ended up being a blessing in disguise as it slowed me down, and allowed to think about my current situation and the way I was going about it.
