S3E15 Lead From Behind - There are many leadership styles, and Great leaders can possess many of them due to their ability to adapt and stay fluid. These styles can be crossed and intersected complimenting and strengthening one another in multiple categories. One of the most successful and desired of these styles is a Motivational Leader. Motivational leaders elevate a business and employees to new heights of success. They see the βbig picture,β make decisions, establish goals and inspire others. A motivational leader can do many thing amongst those is inspiring their team or those around them with enthusiasm and passion. They make people feel valued by investing time into them by learning about their priorities, strengths and needs.
Since motivators can also be viewed as "Cheerleaders" who get behind others a variant of this style can be to " Lead from Behind" or "Shepherding". Barack Obama often used this style during his time in office along with Nelson Mandela who wrote about it in his 1994 book " Long Walk to Freedom". This style which history has shown to be highly successful and impactful (Look at the names of those who used this style) isn't used as much as people would think due to the average person's inability to grasp the concept of not always being front and center as a "Leader"
In this episode we will look at what I believe to be one of the foundations REQUIRED in order to not only be a successful leader who Leads from Behind, but to be a leader in general. πͺπΎπ§ πͺπΎ
