1. I Strive even among daily chores,
In quietness live for you;
I strive even life's busy and tight,
Lord, I still walk with You.
I strive despite the world's corrupt course,
I'm sanctified to you.
I strive on! O' Lord, for you I live.
2. I strive even in doubts and worries;
Let You comfort my heart.
I strive mid the storms of temptation,
Lord, keep my heart sincere.
I strive in the days of affliction,
My love to You I give.
I strive on! O' Lord, for You I live.
3. O' Lord, I know that You love me,
I have captured Your heart!
How precious Your favour, tender love,
That's why I'm striving still!
Forget not You chose and commissioned me;
I'm glad to know Your will.

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
