After graduating from Fordham with a double major in communications and philosophy, Joan Garry began a career that would one day make her an ideal executive coach and advocate for nonprofit organizations. Starting out in the private sector, she was part of the team that launched MTV, and later worked as an executive at Showtime Networks. The switch to nonprofit work came when Joan was named executive director of GLAAD and began using her media savvy to advocate for LGBTQ rights and visibility. Now an independent consultant and founder of the Nonprofit Leadership Lab, Joan helps thousands of nonprofit organizations further their own missions. Tune in to follow Joan on her journey.
