And Americans DO spend time and money on that pursuit! But are Instagrammable experiences, possessions, and money the essence of happiness? Is happiness located only in pleasant circumstances? The Bible never makes that equivocation. In fact, it's universally recognized that real happiness can never be found by pleasing ourselves - it's about relationships.
