Have you ever gotten lost? I mean really lost where you were worried that you'd ever get back to something familiar? That you'd run out of gas and perish in the wilderness? In 2022, that happened in Death Valley National Park. A 67 year old man ran out of gas and started hiking to what he thought was a way out. He perished 2 1/2 miles from the car. He left a note in the car stating: "Ran out of gas."
We mourn for the tragic results, but in a way, we should take heed: we all head towards a "death valley" and the most important thing we do is to "call ahead", in a sense, for rescue. For there is only one "Life Flight" available in the valley of death- Jesus: the Way, Truth, and Life.
