Love Riegns over our Present

In the 1600's, the Massachusetts Bay Colony was established, as was Pennsylvania. But across the pond in Paris, there toiled a monk by the name of Brother Lawrence. A former soldier, he dedicated his life to the service of God and peaceful spiritual contemplation. It occured to him that he could spend the entire day with God - not as a concept, but really. So he did. People were amazed by his authenticity, wisdom, and joy of spending time with God in the garden, or doing dishes. Many of this thoughts and letters were written into a book called - fittingly enough - Practicing the Presence of God. "“We ought not to be weary of doing little things for the love of God," he wrote, "who regards not the greatness of the work, but the love with which it is performed.” Brother Lawrence set an example that our present time, no matter how boring or exciting, or routine or exemplary, matters to God and he wants us to share the day with him. How do we do that? Nate and Sean have this discussion on this week's podcast!
