There goes my hero; watch him as he goes / There goes my hero, He's ordinary. Foo Fighters

Heros? Who needs them? Well, apparently everyone. The Marvel Universe movies alone have made $31 billion in movies alone - that doesn't include revenue from comic books, novels, and merchandise. And let's admit it: as long as there is a villain, a bully, or evil empire, we'll always need a hero. What is a hero? Someone who represents courage, selflessness, sets aside personal safety, and the drive to overcome obstacles to achieve a goal or protect others. They are soldiers and moms, first responders and dads, community change agents and children. They can be anyone. They simply arise when the time requires. It is probably YOU ... or soon will be.

But we need archtypes. We need examples to show us how its done and what they did and why.

In this series, Pastor Nate talks about important Biblical figures that - for no other reason being the right person at the right time - became heroes. Watch Nate's message and then come back here!
