Description

In 1978, United Airlines Flight 173 was completing its flight and landing in Portland, OR. When the landing gear was lowered the crew heard a very loud "thunk" and the plane began to noticeably yaw. The captain feared improper landing gear engagement and ordered termination of intended landing to circle back and come up with another plan. Unfortunately, the crew did not check fuel status and the plane ran out of fuel, stalling, crashing, and killing 11 people.

The lesson? Pay attention to a safe landing, but mitigate problems associated with that by NOT forgetting what's keeping you in the air in the first place. Landing is important. Fuel is MORE important. Similarly, we need to keep proper focus in our lives. Nate is preaching on the subject of RESET, taking things back to the MORE important instead of inappropriate attention to the merely important. Keep your eyes on this series ... and fly safe!
