“There are only three kinds of Christians when it comes to world missions: zealous goers, zealous senders, and disobedient.” That sentence was written by John Piper, a pastor in Minnesota. What do you think, when you read that? Is it negative, positive, sobering, judgemental? Regardless, Piper would say that he means for it to be provocative. To provocate literally means "to call forth" or "to call out." In the Great Commission, Jesus didn't mean to simply inspire, or reflect - he meant to call out his disciples to bear witness to the truth and disciple others to do the same.
In this wonderful conversation with Jerry Acosta, Grace Community Church's own pastor of missions and evangelism, Jerry expresses his heart on what the world needs to know about missions, evangelism and Spain. Don't miss this great podcast!
