Have you ever heard of the Disney Fast Pass? Now, it would already cost a family of four about $5,000 to spend a week at "the happiest place on earth," but a Fast Pass will let you skip the lines! That's right - for about $200 extra, you can jump ahead of the poor hoveled masses who didn't have the cash to pay! Isn't that great? 😳
And we see this in our culture in many places: if you "pay to play" you can get in earlier, get more swag, or generally get greater access.
If you think that culture carries over into the Kingdom, get ready for disappointment. Jesus made it very clear: that's not how it works.
