There's a story of a thief who went to confession and wept before the priest, openly telling him everything but feeling that he couldn't stop - that it was too late to repent. He didn't even know why he was there. But he asked the priest, "Father - how does a thief stop being a thief?" The priest paused for a moment and told him: "The Gospel of Jesus transforms men like you and me. When does a thief stop being a thief? When he becomes someone else. Let Christ transform you."
