I know a lot of you are like me, planful, type A, type of people who love to think and plan and be thoughtful about what is coming ahead. And this is a superhero strength of ours. And often, it can also feel like something that gets in the way to most of us, like all superpowers do at some point or another.
Especially when an unplanned event comes up and ruins a weekend that was going to be perfectly progress oriented, where you knew what you were going to eat, what you were going to do for your workouts, what you're going to wear, how much you're going to sleep, et cetera. All of it was planned, and then that thing comes and ruins it all and it becomes a failure before it even starts. I have been there so many times.
So when that happened to me just this month, I wanted to create a series for you where I show you how I react to an unplanned event, and this one was a doozy. I had the perfect progress weekend planned. And then we got a work trip to Las Vegas thrown in there. And sin city does not normally fit into a progress filled weekend for me. So the following audio comes from a series of IG lives that I did on how I managed my mindset and then adjusted both my nutrition and my movement so that I could still be successful with this unplanned event.
