Derek has a phD in sports physiology and performance, a masters in kinesiology and sports studies as has spent over a decade in competitive powerlifting which made him the perfect guest to speak to about all things powerlifting.



Derek shares with me the focus of an off season and how to optimise. Recovery strategies he’s used to ensure the 450-500kg squat didn’t completely wreck his body and much more.
