We now interrupt our interruption of our regular service with discussion of Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" beginning with the "General Prologue."
Dr Peter Groves continues with us and reads to us in Medieval "english." In this episode we discuss the Friar and the Merchant among other figures present at the pub and consider Chaucer's detailed characterisation of the human psyche centuries before the idea of an unconscious was even posited.
