John F. Uranday is a Kern County native filmmaker now based out of Los Angeles, Ca., and the co-founder of Penwheel Productions. Mr. Uranday started off in the music industry as a recording artist, before jumping into the world of Web streaming shows with The CORE Live, the 99 Cent Show and others years before the rest of the world caught on. In 2006, he attended LA Film School for directing, producing and writing. Once he graduated, his distribution teacher released his first feature film. Since Mr. Uranday started in music, he moved into a documentary on the story of Latinos in hip hop. Music and film remain close to Mr. Uranday and whenever he can combine both of his passions he does so.
