Description

I review the novel, "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides. It is a Family Saga/Epic tale with Coming of Age and Slice of Life flavours. The reader enjoys stories through three generations, some anecdotes taken from the author's own life inserted, of a Greek family that found their way to America. The bulk of the story takes place in the late 60s through the eyes of a teen trying to navigate their world. It is about transitioning culturally, and otherwise, and is all Process, not Destination. I rank it high on my shelf as it is a good yarn with great storytelling. (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4)
