On the afternoon of March 6th, 1959, in Spokane, Washington 9-years old Candice “Candy” Rogers went out to sell mints door-to-door for Camp Fire Girls of America. Candy was part of the younger members called the Bluebirds and they were tasked with selling their allotted mints. Candy had 7 boxes to sell that day, and she promised her mom that she wouldn’t go too far from home. However, Candy never returned home.
