My guest today is Brendan Tunks who resides in Australia. Brendan is a seven star mantis practitioner who started his training in the art in Canberra back in 1992 under Wang Xiaohua. In 1997 he started his training in Qingdao, China under the late Kang Zhiqiang and Li Qiming and Li Qiyu. He has experience in competing a various combat formats, including barehanded and those with weapons, as well as Sanda, submission grappling and he also fought in the only edition of the Tang Lang or mantis free fighting competition which took place in Qingdao, China in 1999.
