Earlier in my career, I had a top producing agent in our company who was rude, opinionated and made everybody else in the office feel uncomfortable. 🚫 As a leader, I had to confront the issue head on and have chat with this agent. 🗣️ Guided by my principles, I was ready to choose the company culture over this agent...
So I prepared myself for the discussion and thought if this agent could change their behavior, maybe we could still keep them on board. As we got into the discussion, the agent said something along the lines of, “do you know that I’m wanted everywhere, I can even get a better deal than what I’m getting here!” 😤 Although this was difficult choice to make at the time, their response made it much easier to do the right thing and let that agent go be successful somewhere else! 👋 After the agent left the company, we had 5 new agents join our team because they felt more comfortable with our company culture. 💯#PrinciplesOverPeople 👈
