About half of mental health problems develop before the individual becomes a teen. Recent studies have shown that many teens are struggling with their mental health at alarmingly high rates, and many in silence. As a global community, we need to help teens support their mental health. This episode is curated for family members, coaches, teachers, community leaders and professionals who want to help support teen mental health. In this episode, mental health counselor, educator, and advocate Dr. Shainna guides us as we explore key phases of teenage development and dive into how they influence mental health, highlight tips to support mental health in adolescence, and offer a quick mental health activity that you can try to support mental wellness.
