The Israelites can teach us many lessons, both good and bad. For the latter, their story demonstrates what it means to fail in worshiping God; their idolatry, immorality, pride, and complaining kept them from having true and complete relationship with Him. We can learn from their example. We can learn how to do and be the opposite, how to seek a righteous and thriving relationship with our Lord.
