Sometimes the easiest thing for humanity to ever do is to put themselves above anyone and anything regardless of who's affected. Sin was such a powerful thing that divided us from God, that it caused us to be rebellious from within ourselves from the very beginning. That rebel outside of the control of the Holy Spirit would rather divide then come together under the power of God's love. Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)
