This past Sunday was a historic day at Purpose Church - our first Commitment Sunday. We stood together, not just bringing offerings, but responding to God's invitation to spread out, break forth, and increase in every area of our lives.
This isn't about buildings or budgets. It's about people having a chance to truly know Jesus and discover the purpose He has uniquely designed for their life. From Isaiah's prophecy to Abraham's promise to the early church in Acts, God has always been about expanding His tent - and that tent is His people.
Pastor Aaron reminded us that love gives. When you love someone, giving isn't a sacrifice, it's a joy. God so loved the world that He gave. Today, we got to do the same.
We're learning to live a lifestyle of radical generosity - not because we have to, but because we love to. Not equal giving, but equal sacrifice with united faith.
Some of us tested the tenth for the first time. Others committed to giving above and beyond. Whatever God asked each of us to do, we responded in faith. And now we get to watch what happens when heaven backs up our yes.
This is just the beginning. We're being prepared to spread out - to the north, south, east, and west - so that more generations will come to know Jesus and discover His purpose for their lives.
