This Sunday we’re seeing how an unexpected encounter between King David and one of his citizens teaches us an important point about worship. The word “worship” in the English language comes from the olde Anglo-Saxon for “worth-ship”. To worship means to declare the worth of the object we are worshiping. Worship is more than a song, more than a ceremony, and its more than words. True worship means living my life in a way that shows I believe Jesus is worthy of the highest honor.
