In week two of our Advent series The Dawn of Hope, we return to Genesis to see how God’s plan to rescue the world has always been bigger than one person or one nation.
In Genesis 12, God calls Abram to take a radical step of faith—leaving comfort, security, and certainty behind—and makes an astonishing promise: through him, all the families of the earth would be blessed. This message traces how that promise points forward to Jesus, showing that the hope of a Savior was never meant to be hoarded, but shared.
As we reflect on Abram’s obedience, we’re reminded that God blesses His people so they can be a blessing to others. Walking by faith often means stepping out without all the answers, trusting God to lead, and engaging in spreading the hope He has promised.
This sermon invites us to ask: What step of faith is God calling us to take—and how might He use it to spread hope to the world?
