Consider this transformational truth: You are in charge of the meanings you make. For every event that happens, there is a wide range of meanings that can be made — some empowering, some disempowering. It is worth asking, “If the meaning I make disempowers me, why do I
keep making that meaning?” Our stories can help us live more fully into God’s design, or they can keep us from being the people God designed us to be.
