Description

Erica Aguirre is a dedicated educator from Cerritos, California. Born and raised in the community, Erica developed a passion for learning and teaching at a young age. After graduating from high school, she pursued her studies at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a degree in sociology. 

Erica's love for her hometown led her back to Cerritos, where she became a secondary history teacher. For the past 16 years, she has dedicated herself to educating the next generation of students on the importance of understanding the past to shape a better future. Her engaging teaching style and passion for her subject have inspired countless students to develop an interest in history and pursue further studies in the field. 

Erica is also involved in various initiatives to promote equity and social justice in education. She believes that education is a powerful tool for promoting understanding and compassion, and she works hard to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all her students. Her dedication to her students and her community has earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and students alike. 

Erica lives with her family in Orange County, is a Disneyland annual passholder, and loves spending afternoons with her Star Wars-loving Bernedoodle on the couch.
