Description

People of color face multiple stereotypes daily, which often affects their perception of self and others. These negative viewings of minority groups are everywhere, from the people we meet, to the work place and even through the narratives created by the mass media. In this episode of The Hope Podcast, we discuss the picture that the majority has painted of the minority and how this impacts their worldview. We discuss the narrative pushed by current cases such as the Botham Jean case, and Atatiana Jefferson's case.  Black on Black crime? It doesn't exist, and in this episode we explore from a clinical perspective why we believe this narrative has been pushed to the masses. So tune in with us, as we break this down so that you won't be stuck in the stereotype.
