Dear listeners/friends,
Just because you go to therapy doesn't mean you're broken. Just because you go to therapy doesn't mean you're "weak" or that "somethings wrong with you." I thought I was something that needed to be fixed and that being emotionally vulnerable meant I was weak and couldn't handle my shit. The perspective changes I've had on therapy are something I feel needs to be shared. Because I hated therapy. I hated my first two therapists. I hated thinking I had problems or issues. But now I love therapy. I found someone I truly enjoy talking to each week and I can confidently say there's nothing wrong with me, but that therapy helps me grow into a better version of myself.
If therapy is something you've been pondering for a while or you've had a bad first experience like me, give this episode a listen and realize you're not alone and that it CAN get better.
