Description

On this episode of FIVE - Life through our Senses, we have Ahodan, who bravely shares his story of a traumatic homophobic attack in 2021 in Liverpool. After the incident, Aodhán had the opportunity to teach in Dubai, where he has been for the last two years. He opens up about his journey since quitting drinking, and how he is still navigating his place in the LGBTQ+ community. Aodhán used alcohol to fit in and act bubbly, and by letting go of it, he has had to look within to learn who he really is. Tune in as Aodhán shares his story of self-discovery and his experience of not drinking.

If you are struggling with your mental health, or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, then please reach out for help. Talking to someone can make a huge difference. I have provided a link to a charity below that can provide the support you need.

We spoke about his favourite sense of taste and what it goes well with, you will NEVER guess what it is. I really enjoyed talking to him and I'm grateful for his honesty and openness.
