We had a wide-ranging, really interesting conversation about what led Adams into government service, what NYC's City Council actually does and how it allocates the city’s $93 BILLION budget (larger than the budget of any STATE save California...), how to address hyperlocal issues at city scale, and what gets in the way of more women being in City Council--only 12 of 51 members are female.
