Krista Garrett has been married to her husband, Nicholas, for 13 years and is the mother of 3 children, two of whom are twin girls. She is the owner of the Garrett Music Academy as well as I am Flawsome and Freedom Through Music, which specializes in promoting mental health through music. She graduated from Suitland School of Performing Arts for Piano and Vocal Performance, received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland, and received a Master’s degree with honors at John Hopkins University for Developmental Psychology. She is a former adjunct professor at Montgomery College and the College of Southern Maryland. Krista has taught private lessons at the Garrett Music Academy for over 12 years and is the Director of the ARC of Southern Maryland therapeutic music program. She specializes in early childhood music and developmental and cognitive disability programs, and she is the author of Authenticity: Be You, Do You, Share You...Be Flawsome!
