Joseph James DeAngelo was a police officer, burglar, murderer and rapist. He may have considered himself a renaissance man but most of those activities are redundant. The fact is that he was one of the scariest serial killers in American history, and he would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for that pesky thing called genetic genealogy.
