Description

Dr. DeZeeuw is an educator and practicing pharmacist. He obtained his Doctorate of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. He has experience as a Clinical and Compounding Pharmacist in Infusion Therapy and as a Pharmacist in Medication Therapy Management.Dr. DeZeeuw founded Endocannacopia Education L.3.C., which provides cannabis & health education, resources and services to improve community well-being through education. Dr. DeZeeuw was a founding member of the Oregon Cannabis Clinicians Group, which put Dr. DeZeeuw on the radar of Compassion Center, Oregon’s oldest 501(c)(3) medical cannabis clinic.

Dr. DeZeeuw has been studying and researching cannabis for 10 years, with a focus on patient safety and education. Dr. DeZeeuw currently serves on the Health Equity and Patient Equity Subcommittees of the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Cannabis Commission, respectively. Dr. DeZeeuw is a founding member of the board of directors for the Integrative Providers Association, its companion PAC, AIPPPA and serves as Director of Paient Safety for Compassion Center.

Upon conclusion of a lobbying session at the Oregon State Capitol educating lawmakers and stakeholders on the emerging Vape Crisis, Public Health and Cannabis Safety, Dr. DeZeeuw, Nurse Monteiro and Mr. Creel decided to continue the ongoing conversation at a meeting later in the day where the IPA was first conceptualized.

Compassion Center: Dr. DeZeeuw serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Patient Safety, and is a regional lobbyist representing education, licensed healthcare professionals and socioeconomic innovations that serve the underserved, disadvantaged and categorically complex. Compassion Center, through its management services arm, MSOplus, manages the day-to-day administrative needs of the IPA for 20% less than what it charges other organizations for the same level of service – in exchange for lifetime organizational membership, access to Locum Tenens professionals and ongoing access to education materials for Compassion Center staff.

Endocannacopia Education L.3.C.: Dr. DeZeeuw is the founder, lead producer and director of education development for Endocannacopia Education L.3.C., a social-purpose entity producing a series of cannabis and healthcare related education modules focused on advancing integrative modalities through edutainment. Per the terms of the contract, Endocannacopia Education L.3.C. provides IPA professional educational content development, guidance and production services to both the IPA and Compassion Center for an average 25% below the industry established rates.
