Sam Weinberg is the Founder & Executive Director of Path to Progress - a “progressive think tank that is run by and for Gen-Z” (description of organization came from forward.com). Sam co-founded Path to Progress in 2021 and has since used his platform to discuss what young people want and inspiring them to get more involved in political advocacy. In addition to being interested in public policy, when Sam enrolled in college, he was taking classes mainly related to art history. Prior to his time in college, Sam co-founded the organization Path to Progress. While he was able to start something he was passionate about, there were obstacles. To continue on with Path to Progress, Sam would spend 30 to 40 hours a week with the organization and would later have to leave college early in order to do this full-time. Working with Path to Progress has given him many opportunities to put himself out there and advocate for candidates who align with the organization’s values. Since doing media appearances starting in 2020, it has been a unique journey for him. Path to Progress has helped Sam become better at teamwork and decision-making which was something that had to come with time. As of now, Path to Progress is already working with a few Gen-Z candidates and helping them get into Congress. Its goal for the 2024 election is to have more young people getting involved in the election cycle and continuing to have conversations on policy issues. Being in the political landscape is always going to be difficult. However, that will not stop Sam from continuing to speak up for what he believes is right.
